At VaazhUyir, data privacy is not an afterthought; it is our foundation. We have designed our health data exchange from the ground up to comply fully with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
Before any health record is captured or shared, patients receive a clear, plain-language notice via SMS or secure messaging, detailing what data is requested, who is requesting it, and why. Consent is obtained explicitly before any processing.
Patients have the absolute right to view, correct, and update their personal health records at any time through their secure patient portal. You can view exactly what records are stored in your VaazhUyir locker.
If you decide you no longer want to participate in the VaazhUyir network, you can withdraw your consent instantly. Doing so will permanently purge your records from our systems, leaving no clinical residues behind.
VaazhUyir acts as a responsible Data Fiduciary. We employ a designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) to handle patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and conduct audits to maintain peak data integrity.
For any questions regarding your rights under the DPDP Act 2023, or to report a privacy concern, please contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@VaazhUyir.network.
